Nominations for 2001 MASA officers (10/15/2000)
All three of the current MASA officers will be retiring at the
end of this year. President Russ Durkee, VP Mark Thell, and
Secretary/Treasurer Damian Kostron have done stellar service -
serving as MASA officers since they created the club some three
years ago. They all deserve our thanks and a round of
(electronic) applause! Without their efforts, MASA wouldn't
exist, much less be the club it is today!
We now need to follow their excellent example and appoint new
leaders to serve the club in the next year. Nominations will
be held at the November MASA meeting for all three elected
positions. You can be nominated for a position whether or not
you're present at the meeting, so all MASA members are encouraged to
attend. The actual voting and elections will take place at the
January meeting.
The officer positions may not be glamorous, they certainly don't
pay well (or at all), and they will require that you spend more time
serving your fellow rocketeers and less time building and flying
your own rockets. Your pay will be in job satisfaction and the
thanks of your fellow club members that you took the initiative to
keep MASA alive and successful!
